First Track was founded on the belief that structure, expertise, and purposeful design produce far better outcomes than an unguided week on snow — in confidence, skill, and sheer enjoyment.
First Track is a UK-based specialist organiser of ski trips for schools, youth groups, and adult learners across the Alps. We combine carefully selected lodging and ski school partners with fun, structured, and progression focused itineraries.
The goal is simple: every participant leaves a First Track trip with an unforgettable experience plus measurable improvement in technique and a confidence in themselves they didn't have before. That's the standard we hold ourselves and our partners to.
We're not a conventional ski holiday company. We're taking your passion and our expertise to some of the world's most beautiful mountains.

Founder & Director, First Track
I bring an unusual combination of backgrounds to First Track: hands on ski coaching experience, and the operational instincts of a start-up founder. That mix of technical ski knowledge, and entrepreneurial drive is what makes First Track's approach distinctive.
Having worked as a ski instructor, I saw at close range the difference between ski groups that were well-organised and purposefully structured versus those that simply turned up and hoped for the best. The outcome gap was stark. Structured groups enojoyed themseleves more, improved faster, and came back.
First Track is the result of that observation: an organiser built from the ground up around the principle that deliberate structure is the single biggest lever for improving what happens on snow.
Progression · Every day
Aimless days on the mountain are enjoyable, but deliberate practice produces lasting skill. Every First Track itinerary is designed with clear daily objectives and end-of-week progression reviews.
A beautiful resort means nothing if the instruction is poor or the lodge is chaotic. We select our partners for their quality of teaching, their care for guests, and their ability to meet our progression standard.
Particularly for school groups, the trust that teachers, parents, and governors place in us is sacred. We operate to the highest UK standards — STF/LOtC, financial protection, DBS-checked staff, and robust risk assessments.
Our partnership with Skieasy means participants can begin building muscle memory and technique in London, before they ever step on a chair lift. They arrive better prepared and leave further ahead.
First Track programmes are designed for three clearly defined groups, each with their own needs, budgets, and ambitions on the mountain.
Year groups seeking a structured, safe, and educationally purposeful winter sports week. We handle everything from parent communications to risk assessments, so teachers can focus on the pupils.
Beginners and improvers who have trained indoors — many via Skieasy — and are ready for real-snow progression. Adults who want to ski properly, not just survive a week in the Alps.
Teens and young adults pursuing active skill development in an immersive alpine environment. Small groups, fast progression, daily feedback, and the kind of environment that builds confidence for life.
